Sous Chef
Maux grew up in Jamaica. Maux moved to Boston, working in Scottish, French, and Italian kitchens. She draws inspiration from nostalgic memories of island breezes, fruit trees, street vendors, and big family gatherings. During the pandemic, she worked with a company advocating to bring more organic food resources to black and brown neighborhoods in the greater Boston area. Chef Maux is excited to work as the Sous Chef at Hav & Mar. Her culinary journey began 26 years ago when Maux fried her first egg; she has been cooking ever since. She looks forward to a lifetime of culinary exploration.
